Project summary:
Objectives: The project aims to develop an accessible website and app that combine mindfulness exercises with sustainability education. Using methods from body therapy, motivational psychology, and pedagogy, users will internalize sustainable values and promote climate-conscious actions. Based on GreenComp, the exercises and challenges will help reduce ecoanxiety, enhance environmental awareness, and facilitate sustainable decision-making.
Implementation: The core of the project is the development of a web-based app that combines mindfulness exercises with sustainability knowledge. The consortium first develops the content and optimizes it in several peer reviews. Once the content has been incorporated into the app, the beta version is tested with the target group. The results are then incorporated into the final version. The development is accompanied by regular partner meetings, targeted dissemination measures and multiplier events.
Results: The project will provide a gamified web-based app and website featuring interactive mindfulness and reflection exercises. Users will be emotionally engaged through physical sensations, motivating them toward sustainable behavior. The content includes quizzes, nature-based perception exercises, and everyday action prompts. This will encourage more conscious consumption, resource conservation, and a stronger connection to the natural environment in the long term.
